Fitcamp - The Details

The basics
-1-hour classes of continuous, high-intensity exercises, adaptable to almost any fitness level
-$60 for 8 sessions (4 weeks, 2x per week), or drop-in rate of $10 per session
-Classes held at various outdoor Oahu locations, scheduled according to demand


What are Fitcamp workouts like?
Each Fitcamp session consists of a full-body workout utilizing a wide array of training methods that will test and increase your fitness levels in the areas of cardiovascular endurance, strength, core strength/stability, speed, quickness, agility, balance, flexibility and various creative combinations of each. The workouts primarily use the challenges of the terrain and surroundings (hills, trees, sand, park benches, etc.) and your own body weight. The exercises are performed in rapid-fire succession with the aim of burning the most amount of calories possible within each hour-long session. In short, it is high-efficiency, no-fluff exercise designed to get results!  In addition, no two Fitcamp workouts are exactly the same, keeping things fresh and exciting as well as keeping your body guessing, never letting it settle into a routine, thereby ensuring continued progress toward your fitness goals.


Run-down of a typical workout session:
  • Show up at the training site a few minutes early to do loosen up your body and do some light stretching on your own.
  • The workout begins with 5-10 minutes of warm-up and movement preparation exercises.
  • Then transition to 40-45 minutes for the main exercise program for the day.
  • Finally, 5-10 minutes of cool-down and stretching.

Sounds pretty intense - I'm not sure if I can stay with it...
Not to worry! While each workout is new and you never know what's coming next, each component of the entire hour is thoroughly explained and demonstrated to the entire group before actually performing it. I will also be there every step of the way during each exercise to guide you, correct your technique when necessary, and provide encouragement and motivation (and even the occasional laugh!).  In addition, the exercises and workouts are designed such that they are adaptable to virtually any fitness level.  At Fitcamp, your best effort IS your best effort and that's all that matters!



Where and when are Fitcamp sessions held?
One of the beauties of training with Superhuman is its dedication to customization and meeting its clients' needs, especially through making its services as mobile as possible.  Please see the Superhuman Training Schedule for a listing of ongoing and forming Fitcamp classes.  If these times and/or locations don't work for you, call or send me an e-mail with your desired training location and availability and I will do my best to organize something that will work for you!


I would love to participate in Fitcamp but it might be a challenge due to my having children at home - do you provide childcare services?
While we wish we could, we are unfortunately unable to provide childcare services for Fitcamp participants at this time. One possible solution, however, is joining/starting a Fitcamp group with other participants with the same concern and agreeing amongst yourselves to take turns providing childcare on a rotating basis at each workout session.



What if after beginning Fitcamp, I decide that it's not for me?
I strongly encourage participants to give Fitcamp a shot for 2 sessions, mainly because the first session typically gives a pretty decent shock to the body, but the second session proves to be MUCH more manageable.  If you find that Fitcamp is not for you after the second session, I will be more than happy to refund the cost of your remaining sessions, provided you notify me of your intent to cancel in advance of your third Fitcamp session.



When can I start?!
Today!  All that's required is a minimal amount of sign-up paperwork, your payment, and deciding which class you'd like to join.  Again, please check the current training schedule for ongoing and forming classes.  Contact me today to get the ball rolling!
